How to Qualify

Requirements to be enrolled in SFC

Primary caregiver requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Pass a background check
  • Deemed physically and mentally capable of performing his or her caregiving responsibilities
  • The caregiver will receive training from Compassion Care In-Home Health
  • The caregiver will receive a stipend for each day worked

The care recipient:

  • Must be Medicaid eligible in Indiana
  • Lives with the person providing his or her daily care
  • Requires assistance with daily living activities such as:
  • Eating
  • Dressing
  • Walking
  • Bathing
  • Transferring (getting in/out of bed or chairs)
  • Toileting
